Hemp 360°: Connecting Tradition with Innovation
Hemp has a long history across Europe, including Romania, where it has been used for textiles, farming and traditional crafts.
Renewed interest in the crop has expanded into construction, consumer goods, regenerative agriculture and industrial applications.
The Cânepa 360° theme brings these established uses together with new technologies, scientific research and commercial development.
The event will give companies and organizations from across the hemp and cannabis sectors a place to present their work, exchange ideas and meet the public.
This approach reflects the industry’s need for closer links between cultivation, manufacturing, research, policy and markets.
Summit 420: Research, Education and Industry Dialogue
Summit 420 will form the conference component of the 2026 event, focusing on research, education and current issues affecting hemp and cannabis.
Cecilia Sîrghie is confirmed to participate with a research presentation.
Further contributions are being developed on scientific research, hemp construction, retail, product development and international cooperation.
Proposed participants include researchers affiliated with the University of Bucharest’s Faculty of Biology and IBNA, as well as representatives from the hemp construction sector and international cannabis organizations.
Sergiy Kovalenkov of Hempire is being considered for an online presentation on hemp construction. Dr. Maja Timotijević of Udruženje Konoplja is also among the proposed international contributors.
These appearances have not yet been finalized.
The conference will address the relationship between research, practical applications and public policy in the development of hemp and cannabis markets.
Exhibitors Showcase Hemp Products and Emerging Applications
The exhibition will include companies and organizations working across the hemp and cannabis value chain.
Twelve exhibitors have been confirmed:
AMCT, CanepaConstruct, CannabiSolar, Cannabiterra, CBD Center, Ecoland Production, EcoMax, Endoca, Institutul BrainMap, QANNAQ, SAM Sonic Alchemy and Victoria Mea.
The exhibitors represent commercial products and services as well as work in education, wellness, research and product development.
Endoca serves as the event’s Main Partner, with CanepaConstruct and Victoria Mea participating as Silver Partners. CanepaShop.ro and CannabiShop are supporting the event.
Victoria Mea, the commercial brand participating as a Silver Partner, is separate from Asociația Victoria Mea, the association serving as a co-organizer of the event.
For an industry still developing its commercial infrastructure and public profile, the exhibition offers a practical setting for businesses, organizations and consumers to meet.
Workshops, Traditional Craft and Community Experiences
Alongside the exhibition and conference, EXPO La Cânepa will offer educational and hands-on activities for the public.
The Hemp Talks Circle will include a presentation by Pugna George Mihai, founder and General Manager of INFINOOVIA, representing Institutul BrainMap.
Leontina Prodan of Zâna Cânepii will lead a workshop on traditional hemp craftsmanship, focusing on the cultural heritage and practical uses of hemp materials.
Other activities include workshops from Institutul BrainMap, a live sound experience by Anca and Marius Stavarache of SAM Sonic Alchemy, and a basic first-aid seminar organized by Medical Rescue Situation.
The Cupa La Cânepa Awards, organized by Asociația Cluburilor Sociale Cannabis (ACSC), will also take place during the event.
Together, the program combines business, education, cultural heritage and community activities rather than focusing solely on trade displays.
Strengthening Romania’s Place in the European Hemp Community
EXPO La Cânepa 2026 comes as Romania and the wider European hemp sector face changing regulations, investment constraints and limited processing and manufacturing capacity. Interest remains strong in bio-based construction, sustainable materials, agricultural diversification and hemp-derived consumer products.
Romania’s agricultural base, available land and history of hemp cultivation and textile production provide a foundation for further development. The central challenge is linking cultivation with processing, manufacturing, research and viable markets.
EXPO La Cânepa addresses that gap by bringing Romanian businesses, researchers, advocates and consumers together with European and international participants.
The event will present Romania’s developing hemp economy, provide public information and support discussion about the country’s role in sustainable, bio-based industries.
This work also relates to the broader Hemp 3.0 movement, which treats industrial applications, regulated cannabis markets, agricultural development and bio-based innovation as connected areas of economic activity.
