Approximately 100 companies, groups, and industry-leading speakers from Japan and abroad will be present, covering the past and future of cannabinoids and hemp
Tokyo, Japan, October 2025 – Japan’s rapidly evolving hemp and cannabinoid industry is entering a new era. The Japan International Hemp Expo 2025 (JIHE 2025) will take place November 14–15, 2025, at LUMINE 0 in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The event is organized by Asabis Inc. (CEO: Ryota Nakazawa) and Green Zone Japan (Representative Director: Yuji Masataka) and is recognized by Cannabis Insight as the largest international hemp exhibition and conference in Japan as of October 2025.
Japan Enters a New “Hemp Era”
Following major reforms to the Cannabis Control Act, 2025 marks what many in the industry are calling the beginning of Japan’s “Hemp Era.” The updated legislation has created a framework that allows for expanded use of hemp in wellness, medicine, and sustainable product development.
At this historic moment, JIHE 2025 will serve as a platform for education, business exchange, and international collaboration. The event merges two successful previous gatherings, CBD Journey and CannaCon, which have drawn more than 7,000 attendees and 300 exhibitors since 2021. Together, they have helped establish Japan as a serious participant in the global cannabinoid and hemp economy.
